We
would like to thank all of the 475+ bands that submitted their music for the opportunity
to be on our fall compilation CD to college radio. Our panel of ten music directors, five
music reps and ten music industry people had a difficult time selecting the fifteen
artists who would be on this October CD, but here are the lucky winners.
Congratulations to these fifteen artists. While the CD is being pressed, please check out
the following bands by clicking on their band name below. Let us know what you think
of their music after listening to it.

the Everyday Heroes

Buzzsaw guitars,
pounding beats, all on top of a thick low end. Soaring melodies helping the words nestle

Rock 'n' Roll, courtesy of the Everyday Heroes, from Columbus, Ohio. All lovers are jaded
some just love it more. It's about the singer and the song...so sing along! |

The 4th / "My Enemy" |
A balance of
melodic hard rock and driving alternative metal is what The 4th have been bringing to
today's fans of rock in roll. Formed in New Jersey in 1999, the four members have
constructed songs of deep lyrics and instrumental parts that range from highly intense,
crunching riffs, to a more passive, guitar-rich sound. |

Big Creak / "You've Been Seeing Him" |
The Big Creak,
an alt/pop/rock band from Columbus, Ohio is making waves across the Midwestern United
States. Always growing, always peering around the next corner, the Big Creak challenges
conventional pop music with an original and sincere sound. Their music has been called
"clever," and "inventive." A band noted for their unique and
impressive live show and working with Grammy nominated producer David Ivory it is no
wander the band has gained such a devoted following. |

BROOMFILLER

BROOMFILLER is a
three-piece punk-based heavy melodic alternative band from Toronto, Canada. They played
the Van's Warped Tour '00, Kanawhapalooza music showcase in Charleston, West Virginia and
just recently completed a successful five week Cross-Canada Tour to support their new full
length album "Watching the girls go bi." Their hook-filled, catchy melodic music
and energetic live show is truly something to witness. |

Digital Lies / "High Life" |
Digital Lies,
from Columbus, Ohio, is a band that blends genius lyrical content with catchy, driving,
and smart tunes. Everyone can find something to love about Digital Lies, but they rise
above any simple "sounds like" comparison. With their ever increasing crowd
sizes, songs that just keep getting better and their first album coming out soon I expect
Digital Lies to be rocking your radios and TV's very soon. |

Fenster / "Circles" |
Fenster is
turning the heads of music fans everywhere and is becoming a strong force in the music
industry. This six-piece ensemble combines driving rock with a horn section to produce a
genre that is uniquely its own. Along with its incurably catchy beat, this Columbus, Ohio
band is earning a reputation throughout the Midwest for being exceptionally enthusiastic

Frost / "Mr. Platt" |
Frost from
Melbourne, Australia writes bittersweet guitar driven pop songs full of soaring hooks and
knowing winks. Underpinning Frost's music is an air of melancholic celebration - times are
hard and sometimes desperate - but persistence will overcome challenges, and life goes on.
Crossing boundaries and the generation gap, Frost can be appreciated by anyone with an ear
for exuberant playing in the classic pop mould, cheeky lyrics and a heart. |

Backwoods modern
rock & roll - the likes of Cracker,The Black Crows, Lenny Kravitz, Rolling Stones and
the Wallflowers. A staple for their live show and hard hitting performances, now in the
light of major label interest Haywood Trout from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania continues to
play shows and write the songs people want to hear. |

the Heavy Woolies / "Lemon for a
Lime" |
The Heavy
Woolies define a musical style known as "California Rock," a sound that balances
a blend of classic and current sounds while still upholding an originality that is all
their own, satisfying not only the teenage pop fanatics, but their finicky parents as
well. Their natural talent for writing catchy, energetic, and meaningful songs and highly
entertaining stage shows have made them a dominant force in the Los Angeles music scene. |

Iridesense

Think of No
Doubt meets Live with a heavy dose of Tonic and a Beatles meets Led Zeppelin mentality,
and you've found the light...IRIDESENSE! This four piece group from New York City is
quickly becoming the buzz band of the season. While relentlessly performing for the past
seven years, they have built a loyal fan base and are carving a new niche in the genre
with their edgy pop sound, what we like to call "Pop Core". It will touch the
inner core of your soul! |

the Issues / "Satisfied" |
Modern,
alternative, power pop punk rock! That's right kids, so put on those attitude boots, spike
up your hair and try not to swallow your tongues. Just imagine Blink 182 meets Green Day,
the Ramones & the Foo Fighters. Throw em' all in a blender, add some Hose` Quervo, set
it on stun, and you'd have the ISSUES from Nashville, Tennessee baby! Cheers! |

Pinki Mojo / "Didn't I" |
Fronted by two
female voices, Pinki Mojo doesn't leave a "chick with an attitude" taste in the
mouth of its' audiences. This Akron, Ohio band boasts radio friendly pop tunes with
intelligent lyrics and memorable hooks. Look for Pinki Mojo to start popping up on your
radio dial; they appeal as much to the private listener as they do to a live audience.

The Shopliftingangels / "Can't Afford a
Ford" |
The
Shopliftingangels is a band that has stirred up a minor storm in their home town of
Stockholm, Sweden for the past six months. Their music is a mix of beautiful melodies,
combined with pumping rhythms and honest lyrics, which they call "Twisted pop and
sell-out rock." If you are into some serious new music and are curious about
how the future sounds then The Shopliftingangels has the soundtrack right here! |

Temperedcast / "And to Bleed" |
Temperedcast is
best described as a heavy melodic rock band. Powerful guitar riffs, exciting leads, tight
rhythm section, and catchy vocals set the stage for this Seattle, Washington band. Their
dynamics and musicianship give them the ability to intrigue an energetic fan, or a seated
listener. With influences like Ozzy, Tool, Dream Theater, and more, Temperedcast is ready
to bring some more real rock to the music scene. |

X-Ray Roger
Jimmy is a modern pop-rock band based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, poised to explode onto
the national scene. The boys have a radio friendly sound comparative to mainstream groups
like Matchbox 20, Barenaked Ladies, Fuel, Train, and Jimmy Eat World. The forthcoming
album (produced by Ed Toth of Vertical Horizon) is due out this fall as X-ray continues to
tour the Midwest in promoting their fourth full-length...everything. |
