the NSA |
The
NSA bring the secret sound of the surveillance society: a little new-wave, a little mod, a
little punk, all rock-n-roll. This Columbus, Ohio band are hell-bent on producing
songs with headstrong lyrics and giant melodies, and rocking like a fury on stage. In an
era in music when melody has reached its absolute nadir, the NSA strive to make
"every song a single," and every show a spectacle. Their rock will destroy you. |

Pop
Quiz |
This Columbus,
Ohio three-piece was formed from the ashes of a power pop outfit named Jack Brooklyn. The
Pop Quiz's intentions were to bring the masses a sound with the intensity of punk, the
svelte of mod, and the allure of pop. Without a doubt they have accomplished their goal.
With one 4-song EP release under their belt, the Quiz is touring and will soon be
releasing a long awaited full length CD. Let there be a warning...they are highly
addictive. |

the Little Murders
|
The Little
Murders come from Melbourne, Australia and led by songwriter/singer Rob Griffiths play a
mix of urban poetry and tales of lost love layered in shiny Telecasters and Gibson
guitars. Embracing an eclectic mix of influences from The Kinks to the Jam to the Smiths
gives them a British sound but the breadth of their music reflects the great southern land
they live in. Add to the mix a love of American alternative country as played by Wilco and
the you have music described by more than one critic as "impossible to dislike". |

Zallen |
The line between
psychedelic and classic rock is a fine line in the case of Zallen. The mood is flashing
lights and lava lamps but the musicianship is classic rock with solid guitar that
showcases Zallen's brilliance. Reminiscent of Bowie, Radiohead, Lennon and XTC, the one
man force known as Zallen is breaking the mold and re-creating rock. |
