What Do We Expect
From You?

Gold Record Music expects only one thing from you...
BE PREPARED!

You may be thinking, "Oh that's easy," but in reality it is not. Being prepared, includes a number of conditions:

BE PROMPT - We expect all of our phone calls, emails and all other forms of contact to be answered promptly. This is for our ease but also your benefit. If you do not respond quickly, you could miss out on a great opportunity. If you are late or unprofessional you will be left behind.

HAVE A PUBLICITY KIT - Your publicity kit should include: a recording, your four choices of songs that you want to promote and a typed bio. We also want to know your goals. So send a statement of what you want to accomplish by playing in your band and by working with us.

BE OPEN TO TOURING - You should be willing and able to tour. Fan exposure is not just radio air play. It also means playing to a live audience. So make sure that you are able to get away for small tours, or at least "weekend warrior" gigs.

This is what you need to do to BE PREPARED to work with us. We love all styles and kinds of music and would be interested in hearing from you.

How hard you work is just as important as your talent. So if you are prepared to work, we are prepared to work for you.

How to Submit Your Music
to Gold Record Music

We send out a compilation CD twice a year to 912 college radio stations. The bands selected for this compilation can be from anywhere in the world.

On a seperate project, we also book and promote shows for bands. We require that these bands be from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan, Indiana or Illinois at this time. We will expand this area at a later date.

We also specialize in other types of music marketing and promotion... ALL AT NO CHARGE to the artists chosen to work with us.

Our goal is to offer as much exposure as possible to theartists that we are working with. But that is dependent not only on our work but on your work too. To begin this process we need a few things from you:

1. WHAT WE NEED - Include a mastered CD with four song choices from that CD that you wish to promote. We also require a typed bio and a statement of intent of what you want to accomplish.

Please feel free to include any other optional items such as pictures, reviews, a list of achievements, and anything else you feel we should know. If you need help in putting a kit together, email us and we can send you examples or walk you through the process.

2. CONTACT INFORMATION - Include your band's name, your name, your mail address, your email address and phone number. In case things would get separated, make sure that you put your name and phone number on the CD and on the back of every item in your publicity kit.

F.Y.I. - We do not return material that is submitted to us. We create a file and periodically update it to decide if you are right for our next project. If you would like any of your materials returned, please enclose a self-addressed mailer.

3. PROMPTNESS - We expect our phone calls, emails and all other forms of contact to be answered promptly. If we need something from you, we will try to give you adequate notice and a deadline. It must be turned in on time. If you are not timely, you are holding up the other bands. This was the single biggest reason why some bands were not accepted to be on our first compilation CD.

The more you show us how professionally prepared and prompt you are, the more we get excited about wanting to work with you.

If you have any additional questions, please read our Frequently Asked Questions page by clicking on this link.

It is not a personal attack or dislike, that causes us to not choose an artist for a project. Some artists are better suited to other projects we work on. So remember if we do not choose you immediately, it does not mean that we are not interested.

If you feel you can live up to these few responsibilities, then we'd really love to hear your music. Please put the requested information together and mail it to the address at the bottom of the page.
